SANTA ANA, CA, January 4, 2006 - ExaDigm, Inc, the leading innovator of wireless and wired point-of-sale (POS) terminal solutions, today announced the launch of the XD2000, the next generation of the popular Mate Plus point-of-sale terminal. With its unique modular format and interchangeable modems supporting IP (Ethernet), WiFi, Cellular and Dial-Up connections, the XD2000 offers speed, portability, mobility, changeability and universal connectivity to a wide range of industries.
Featuring a fully modular design and PC-based Linux operating system, the XD2000 provides a single terminal platform that offers multiple connectivity options, easy software upgrades and enhancement, and simple configuration to adapt to new technologies. The XD2000 is based on the same versatile design concept as its predecessor, the Mate Plus, which features the ability for the terminal to be equally efficient as a desktop unit or as a pointer-held, mobile device. The first in the new XD Terminal line, the XD2000 delivers a solution that is easier, faster and ultimately cheaper - and that means a drastically streamlined product for both the merchant and those that support it.

Specific features of the XD2000 include:
- Single terminal platform offering GSM/GPRS, CDMA, WiFi, Bluetooth®, Ethernet, Dial-up and next generation communication options providing the flexibility to meet the needs of a diverse array of merchants
- PC-based architecture delivering the highest degree of flexibility & upgradeability
- Linux operating system operating system which allows for fast, affordable software and application changes, updates and customization
- PC style components, such as host-based USB and Serial Ports, allowing for easy ubiquitous hardware integration
- Highest level of security for a POS terminal supporting 256-bit SSL encryption at the time of card swipe
- Full VISA CISP validation
- Up to sub 3 second transactions based on a 32-bit ARM based architecture with 16MB of memory
- Integrated graphic 12 line per sec thermal printer featuring 57mm large capacity paper roll and multi-language font capability
