Heartland Payment Systems Awards Class A Certifications to ExaDigm Payment Terminals

SANTA ANA, CA and PRINCETON, NJ - February 13, 2008 - ExaDigm, Inc., the leading innovator of wired and wireless point-of-sale (POS) terminal solutions, today announced that Heartland Payment Systems has awarded Class A certification to ExaDigm's XD1000 Countertop Payment Solution and XD2000 Mobile Payment Solution. These certifications allow Heartland to offer fast, reliable, secure transactions to its merchant customers utilizing Internet Protocol (IP) connections.
With the implementation of IP-based wired and wireless payment terminals a top priority for Heartland in 2008, ExaDigm's XD1000 and XD2000 offer the perfect fit in meeting the needs of this project. Both are PC-based, fully modular payment terminals featuring industry-first technology innovations including interchangeable communication modules which eliminate the need to support multiple same-functionality terminals from one manufacturer; and a Linux operating system providing the ability to adapt to changing technologies easily and rapidly, ensuring that obsolescence and subsequent swap out programs are a thing of the past.

During our due diligence, we were impressed by the ExaDigm terminal's modular design that provided this customer with a high degree of implementation flexibility. We also noted the minimal number of equipment issues the customer experienced during installation. These factors, plus their support of CDMA, led us to Class A certify both the ExaDigm XD1000 and XD2000", said Michael English, executive director of product development at Heartland.
With support for a range of Heartland's payment processing applications, including credit and debit cards, the XD1000 and XD2000 offer merchants who process through Heartland access to some of the most advanced point-of-sale terminals on the market today. Additionally, they will now benefit from the highest levels of terminal-based security, as well as the widest range of wired and wireless communication options in a single countertop or mobile terminal, including cellular (GPRS & CDMA), WiFi (802.11g), Ethernet, and dial.
