ExaDigm Launches the XD1000 Countertop Point-of-Sale Terminal XD1000 Expands ExaDigm's Product Line with the Lowest Cost PC-based IP Countertop Terminal on the Market |

LAS VEGAS, NV, April 18, 2006 - ExaDigm, Inc, the leading innovator of wireless and wired point-of-sale (POS) terminal solutions, today announced the launch of the XD1000, the lowest cost, PC-based, countertop point-of-sale terminals on the market today. Built as an IP terminal from the ground up, its unique design incorporates Dial-Up and IP (Ethernet) connections as standard, and as an industry first features an optional, removable WiFi card. The XD1000 delivers the most cost-effective countertop solution featuring unparalleled speed, reliability, security and ease of use.
Incorporating ExaDigm's renowned PC-based Linux operating system, the same found in the XD2000, merchants now have access to a countertop terminal that offers true IP connectivity, easy software upgrades and simple configuration to adapt to next generation technologies. The PC-based architecture, the first of its kind to be introduced in a low cost terminal, ensures it is the only terminal a merchant will need now and well into the future. Unlike anything on the market today, the XD1000 delivers a solution that is the perfect balance between cost, technology, and performance resulting in a terminal that is changing the face of countertop point-of-sale.

- Sleek, robust and cost-effective countertop design delivering performance, reliability, security and ease of use.
- PC-based architecture offering the same high degree of flexibility & upgradeability as a standard laptop computer.
- Linux operating system, which allows for fast and affordable software changes, updates and customization.
- Standard PC style components, such as host-based USB and Serial Ports, allow for easy hardware integration.
- Ability to utilize every day USB devices for integration into the terminal with little or no special software through the ability to simply download commercially available drivers.
- Superior security through 256-bit SSL encryption starting from the time of card swipe, the same as is used in online banking. Capable of supporting up to 1024-bit SSL encryption.
- Flexible communication options including IP, Dial-up, and WiFi delivering the most choices in a desktop terminal.

"The XD1000 is built on the robust and flexible PC platform as found in the XD2000, offering the same advanced feature sets that meet the technology and functionality requirements of users in a diverse range of business environments delivering both wired and wireless payment capabilities."
